OFFICIAL GUIDE TO: THE SECRETS OF DYRT
Hi folks;
This is the Official walkthrough for: The Secrets of Dyrt.
I tried to make myself as clear as possible on all points.
All I can say is, take a good notice of the "AREA" numbers at the bottom ofthe screen as I use them too in this walkthrough, so you got a quick an easy reference.
This walkthrough will ONLY cover those chapters that have been released already, and as I'm trying to be as spoiler-free as possible, don't expect anything about the story line here.
At the start of every dungeon or bossfight, I'll display my levels. These are not recommendations. Just the level I had when I was playing this game at the MEDIUM difficulty setting. (Though I will make a few notes here and there about there settings).

Eric Sylvertin

CHARACTEREric is a boy with an iferiority complex because his sister Rebecca is basically better at everything. Eric desperately tries to prove himself, and that doesn't work out too well
Race:Human
Gender:Male
Weapon:Sword
In Combat:Eric is not weak, but not very strong either. His speed is also pretty average. Eric can take advantage from the power of the Dragons which he acquires when you meet them in chapter 2
Auto-Skill:Coup de grace - When an enemy has less than 15% health after Eric attacked it, Eric will automatically finish the enemy off. This does not affect bosses and will also not work when Eric attacks his allies (in confused state)
Non-Combat Skill:Looking for trouble - Cause in instant encounter. (Eric needs a special key item in order to use this ability).

CHARACTERProud owner of an attitude problem. Irravonia likes to tease people unintentionally hurting people. She does have her heart on the right place which really shows when the going gets though.
Race:Fairy
Gender:Female
Weapon:Wand
In Combat:Irravonia is physically pretty weak. It's her spells that count, and if you work Irravonia out well, she can become a dangerous killer. Don't underestimate her.
Auto-Skill:Irravonia randomly wards herself against one of the four basic elements (Fire, Wind, Water or Earth). She remains invincible against this element until she gets hit by it (nullifying the attack) and then she randomly picks another.
Non-Combat Skill:Fly - Irravonia can fly over small gaps in the floor.

Weapon:Hammer
In Combat:Let's not beat around the bush: Strong is strong. Brendor is physically the strongest in the group. He's also the slowest and has no spells at his disposal.

Race:Elf
Gender:Female
Weapon:Whip
In Combat:Pretty quick and Seelah Gandra is also your most important healer. Maybe physicially not really strong, but when you work out her healing powers well you may live a little longer.
Auto-Skill:Emergency Action - Seelah Gandra may if any of her allies are low HP direcly jump to the COM spot so you can enter a move for her. A very handy ability for a healer.
Non-Combat Skill:Whip - Seelah Gandra can throw out her whip and pull herself to any kind of hookpoint.

Rebecca Sylvertin

CHARACTEREric's twin-sister, though only a few minutes older than her brother, she really acts like an annoying big sister scolding her 'little brother' at every opportunity she gets. When the situation is there, she can't hide she loves her little brother more than she knows herself. She just doesn't know how to express it properly.
Race:Human
Gender:Female
Weapon:Sword
In Combat:Weaker than Brendor, but a lot more agile. Rebecca is a fighter, and has some nasty tricks on her sleeve that can work out pretty well
Auto-Skill:Strike Streak - After performing an attack on an enemy there is a change Rebecca will attack again and (if you are lucky) again
Non-Combat Skill:Haggle - When shopping with Rebecca in your party, you may try to haggle in order to lower the prices. Be careful though. Haggling can go wrong and that can cost ya.

CHARACTERLeader of the Drop-Out tribe. He's a very calm man who sees the best in everybody even when they don't see it themselves. He takes Seelah Gandra under his wing and teaches her the way of the Drop-Outs
Race:Elf
Gender:Male
Weapon:Wooden Bat
In Combat:He's a pretty average character physically. Final Fantasy fans may consider him the 'blue mage', as he can copy his enemies moves. He can do that by using the 'charm' spell. He can however only do so by animals and plants.
Auto-Skill:When HP is getting low, his AP may go full instantly
Non-Combat Skill:Nature can have many illusions, Dernor sees straight through them.

Merya the Magpie

CHARACTERMerya is a jolly character with a bit of a dirty mind. She's Dernor's cousin.
Race:Elf
Gender:Female
Weapon:Dagger
In Combat:Too bad Merya is the weakest character in the group in nearly all fronts and quite easily the first to die when put on front. However, she ain't worthless. She's the only character who can steal, not to mention that if she gains her other Rogue moves she can in a more tactical gameplay increase your chances of survival. You take a risk by working her out, but your risks can surely be rewarded.
Auto-Skill:Item studies - Using items will cause Merya to gain experience in her Rogue skill
Non-Combat Skill:Detect - Merya can scan any area to see if there are any secret passages nearby. The higher her rogue skills, the more likely she'll find something (if it's there of course)

Aziëlla, daughter of the house of Gandron

CHARACTERAn overexcited blabbermouth, but don't be fooled. She's a commander in the Elite Forces of the King and the youngest person in history of the Befindos to attain that position. Aziëlla is an overexcited girl, but when she's with her soldiers she's a strong authority and her men don't even dare to disobbey her. Aziëlla has a strong sense of duty and is truly devoted to her king and country and not afraid to die for them if she feels she must.
Race:Befindo
Gender:Female
Weapon:Crossbow
In Combat:Her stats are average except for her accuracy which is the highest accuracy of all characters so she's not very likely to miss her target (it's still possible though). She has a lot of supportive magic too

Walkthrough - Chapter 1

Quick Overview

In this chapter the party members will tell stories about things that happened prior to their imprisonment.
Therefore all dungeons in the chapter are quick mission on their own you cannot leave until completed and after that the next story begins.
The worldmap will not be available to you until chapter 2.

In the introduction text you should have noticed that you can enter the names of all playable main characters in the game except for Seelah Gandra. No that was neither a bug, nor an oversight, that was done on purpose and when you keep on with this project till the end, you'll eventually discover why.
In this walkthrough I'll use the original names, and if you want to prevent confusion, maybe you should do the same, but that's up to you, you can change them, it's up to you to make use of that feature :)

Xenor Bushes

CHARACTER
lv1
Quick Overview:
You play here with Irravonia as a child. This dungeon is only a quick introduction to the game with no puzzles whatsoever.
The enemies are all very easy (even in the hard mode of the game).
Important to note is that Irravonia can in her child form not gain experience points, so level grinding makes no sense, furthermore none of her spells are available at present time (she will be able to gain EXP and cast spells after this dungeon when you play her in adult form).
I won't name every item you can pick up here unless it's really imporant or noteworthy stuff.
Another note, when you see a green triangle with an "!" in it you're about to get an encounter. When you hit either the ESCAPE button or the right mouse button you can cancel this, if you do nothing the battle will begin.

000:>This dungeon only has area 000, so let's get this show going. :)
=Head west
=OPTIONAL: I'll note it this time, but you can pick up the apple to the north and get back here.
=Keep going west
=OPTIONAL: To the north you can grab an antidote (which you won't need in this dungeon, but hey, you can always keep it for later)
=South and immediatly west and hit the way North there (you follow?)
=You can pass the line of trees either west or east, it really doesn't matter at all.
=Hit the savespot if you want and move west to the antidote
=OPTIONAL: Around the bushes south leads to some apples if you want them. Come back to this spot once you got them
=Take the most northern way east
=Follow the road at at the next intersection go North (or go south to take the apple and resume the way north anyway)
=At the next intersection you go west (south is a last apple you can grab if you want)
=Use the savespot if you need (this one recovers your HP too)
=Try to exit this dungeon to the west and you'll be attacked by two slimes. Kill them both.
=As soon as both slimes are dead a little surpise will pop up
BOSS FIGHT!

Big Mama Slime
CHARACTER
lv1

You will very soon notice that little Irravonia is no match at all for this big slime. She can try to hit it all she wants, but she'll hardly hurt it. As soon as it can it will strike down Irravonia in one blow. Don't worry, you are not supposed to win this fight anyway.
Losing this fight will end this dungeon and Irravonia's story about her childhood.
Next Eric will be telling his story and that leads to a new dungeon.

Xenor Bushes West

CHARACTERCHARACTER
lv5lv3
Quick Overview:
This dungeon is as a dungeon pretty similar to the Xenor Bushes, Irravonia went through as a child. This time both Eric and Irravonia are adults and they can gain experience in order to gain levels. Please note this game counts the experience backwards, so it displays you many points you NEED in order to gain a level.
Most notable Irravonia now has 4 magic skills. Casting spells can gain her experience to those spell groups and that can lead to spell level up. This won't up your stats, but it does grant several advantages and can lead to new spells.
Both Eric and Irravonia can now also gain weapon skills by simply hitting the enemy with a normal attack.
Another new thing is that you can now see yellow triangles with a "!" in it. You can then cancel combat just like with green, but it will cost points and when you are out of those you can no longer cancel combat. Best to only cancel when you feel the need.
This dungeon is smaller than the last one, so let's get on with it.

000:>=Grab the treasures and save the game and follow the way to the west
=You can save your game at the savespot you'll eventually find
=Resume the way west
=Exit west

Exam Ruins

CHARACTERCHARACTER
lv5lv10
Quick Overview:
This dungeon is an exam for Eric and Rebecca (who joins the party upon your arrival). As Irravonia is not a candidate for this exam she won't go with you in this mission. That means you have to rely on items for healing as she is currently your only person with a healing spell. Not to mention that the monsters here are a lot stronger than the ones you met before.
This dungeon has two ways to go, I just will explain the road I went while writing this FAQ.
The object is explained by the Examiner. You need to get the key from the back and come back to this room to open the door and defeat the monster (boss) inside that room. This dungeon also contains the first puzzle of the game. Well, let's go for it.

001:>=Take the western exit North
004:>=OPTIONAL: Directly east you can walk through the wall into a secret room. In there is some treasure. Among them most notably a Traveler's Emblem which will allow you to cancel more random encounters, so I'm sure you don't want to miss that.
=Go North, exit north
007:>Exit North
008:>Now this is a pretty nifty puzzle, and you easily make things harder on yourself than strictly needed.
The most important part here is that you know how 'the eyes of a die' work. If you can picture that you no longer need this FAQ to solve this puzzle.
Oh, you still want me to be more specific? Damn!
Okay, well here goes.
I label the switches on the floor like this
  A B C
1
2
3
=First read the sign. It will show a roman number
=When it shows "I": Step onto B2
=When it shows "II": step onto A1 and C3
=When it shows "III": step onto A1, B2 and C3
=When it shows "IV": step onto A1, A3, C1 and C3
=When it shows "V": step onto A1, A3, C1, C3 and B2
=When it shows "VI": step onto A1, A2, A3, C1, C2 and C3
=With this the door should open, exit north
009:>=Grab the key (half of your task is done now)
=OPTIONAL: Both east and west lead to a secret room. Check it out.
=Exit South
008:>Exit South
007:>Take the eastern exit south
003:>=OPTIONAL: To the west is a secret passage. Wanna check?
=Go South
=Exit South
001:>Okay, no more random encounters in this dungeon.
=Go to the door
=Open your inventory and pick the key and the door will open
=I recommend you to save your game now at the savespot next to Irravonia.
=Well go through the door you just opened.
002:>Go to the tiger.
BOSS FIGHT!

Big tiger
CHARACTERCHARACTER
lv6lv10

  1. Scratch (Hard mode only)

This guy is a lot like its smaller brothers, only a bit stronger. By now it's very possible Rebecca learned 'Double Power Strike'. If she did, this boss is a good guy to test that move out on. If she didn't, well, I think she might learn it during this fight then. (Don't worry, if you got it, you'll know, trust me).

Rebecca is at this moment a lot stronger than Eric, so if you can let her do the attack and let him do the healing (with items) you got a good base to go. Not that this fella (who is pretty quick) will always let you, but if you can that's the way to go

When this guy is dead, this mission is over. Onto the next.

Xenor Bushes North

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv6lv4lv10
Quick Overview:
Just a quick dungeon. Keep in mind that Irravonia is very weak due to the fact that she might have the lowest level. She'll make it up. Trust me.

000:>=OPTIONAL: You can reach the Traveler's Emblem by going through the trees on the northside of it.
=Follow the way North
=Exit North

Doubline

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv7lv5lv11
000:>This is the first village you'll visit. If you want you can speak to the girl in front of the middle North house to buy stuff as she's a merchant (you can also try out to Haggle, though it may not always work out the way you want, so watch out). When you are done in this town, speak to the guy on the west edge of town and he'll transport you to that 'Forgotten Realm'.

Shanda's Dungeon

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv7lv5lv11lv15
Quick Overview:
This is not a large dungeon, but one that may still cause a little trouble.
Queen Shanda joined you during this dungeon, but she will only be playable during this dungeon and leave the party as soon as you finished this place. I also need to note that you cannot level her up. The level she has depends on the difficulty setting you chose. Which will be level 30 in the easy mode, level 15 in the medium mode and level 10 in the hard mode. Don't underestimate it, as Shanda is quite dominant in combat here.
I also have to note that this is a one-time dungeon. Once completed you can never get back here. One time dungeon DO NOT contain any treasure (except for key items, but this dungeon has none), so don't even go look for it.
This is also the first dungeon in which certain actions can only be taken by one specific character. In this case Irravonia. When I start a line with "IRRAVONIA" it means only she can do it. You can press C to switch the character in the field.

001:>Exit South
002:>Hit the eastern exit
003:>=IRRAVONIA: Fly over the gap by pressing "P"
=Hit the western stairs down
004:>=IRRAVONIA: Over the gap to the south x2
=Follow the corridor until you reach the North-East gap on the east side
=IRRAVONIA: Over the gap to the west x2
=And follow the road again until you reach the last gap you crossed from the North side
=IRRAVONIA: Well, over the gap to the south x2
=Follow the corridor, blah, blah, blah
=IRRAVONIA: Over the gap to the east x2
=Hit the exit
005:>Not so hard either now that you know the trick, eh?
=IRRAVONIA: Go east and fly over the gap
=IRRAVONIA: SOuth and over the gap to the east
=Go North
=Exit North
007:>This one can get the crap outta you. Though it's not as hard as it looks.
=IRRAVONIA: Hop over south x3
=IRRAVONIA: Hop over east x3
=IRRAVONIA: Hop North
=IRRAVONIA: Hop East x2
=IRRAVONIA: Hop South
=Follow the 'road'... well, the little road then.
=IRRAVONIA: Hop West
=IRRAVONIA: Hop South
=All the way East
=IRRAVONIA: Hop North
=Go a bit north, but not to the far end, stop just a little before the end
=IRRAVONIA: Hop East
=Follow the little road
=IRRAVONIA: Hop North x2
=IRRAVONIA: Hop West x2
=Hit the exit
006:>Save your game and when you are ready go to the next room and see what happens
BOSS FIGHT!

Jeracko
CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv8lv7lv11lv15

  1. Jeracko Spin
  2. Crush

Jeracko is the first boss who plays an important role in the story line. He is most of all physically strong, but also very slow, and that's your key to victory. First of all, I recommend you to kill the extra monsters he brought with him. Getting rid of them makes this fight a lot easier. Jeracko can use 'Crush' to reduce somebody's HP to 1, but as he's slow you can cover that up easily. Where Jeracko really gets dangerous is when he uses his 'Jeracko Spin' move, which will confuse the entire party, and it's not very likely that move will miss. Whenever a confused character get himself/herself hurt the confusion will wear off. That's a good thing. If you brought some magic discs you have a good chance of survival.
Well, that ends it for Eric, Rebecca and Irravonia for now. Let's get on with Brendor and Seelah Gandra and their stories.
First Brendor.

Mysterious Crypt

CHARACTER
lv15
Quick Overview:
Brendor will have to do this entire dungeon alone. He's strong, but the enemies inside are poisonous. You can buy some antidotes from the merchant if you desire. You'll need them :)
Please note that Brendor's starting level is a dependent on the difficulty setting you chose.
When you are aready to go, enter the crypt.

001:>Exit North
002:>Don't even think in getting those treasures. You can already see you need Irravonia for that and as she's not available you'll have to come back for that later in the game.
=Exit North
003:>You can see a bit of a mazy structure in this room, but that's easy to get through. Still to give you a little hint. The signs here hint toward the puzzle in the next room. When you are done here, hit the exit north
004:>=OPTIONAL: WHen you go south when standing between the two braziers you will find a secret room :)
Now for this puzzle. When you took good notice of the signs you must have noticed the words "SQARE", "ROOT" and "NINE", in other words "SQUARE-ROOT-NINE" which is THREE.
=So, hit switch #3 from the left and the door will open
=Exit North
006:>CHAAAAARGE:
BOSS FIGHT!

Big Scorpion
CHARACTER
lv15

  1. Poisonous Sting

If you think that this is just a stronger version of the regular scorpion you for most part right. He'll poison you with almost every attack, so don't bother curing that, leave that for after the fight. Keep your healing items at the ready.
=Exit North
007:>Make your way north, eventually the Area number will switch to 008
008:>Go further north until you find some rubble. This is the end of this dungeon.

The Temple of Weniaria

CHARACTERCHARACTER
lv6lv15
Quick Overview:
This is a pretty straight-forward dungeon. The enemies here are not that hard, but keep an eye on Seelah Gandra as she's not super strong at present time. Her starting level is dependent on the difficulty setting you chose.
Brendor should do the fighting and Seelah Gandra the healing. She already has one healing spell. She cannot yet learn more spells. That comes later. Seelah Gandra's starting level is depending on your chosen difficulty setting.
Let's just get this show on the road.

002:>Head North until Brendor and Seelah Gandra begin to discuss the statue.
001:>=Go to the statue and examine it. Seelah Gandra will mention that its holy powers are blocked by some evil forces coming from the back of the temple.
=Hit the archway
003:>=Make your way to the north-east of this corridor (the eastway and the north way will eventually both end up at the same spot)
=Hit the archway
(None of these doors can be opened).
004:>All the way north and exit North
005:>=Attack the giant monster
BOSS FIGHT!

Shadow Sweeper
CHARACTERCHARACTER
lv6lv15

  1. Dark Vision
  2. Scratch
  3. First Aid
  4. Demon Soul Breaker (hard mode only)

This guy can be fairly easy if you stick your mind to it! This boss can heal itself, but that is no big deal. You should watch out for 'Dark Vision' which does a little damage, but also confuses you. When you selected the Hard Mode you must beware of 'Demon Soul Breaker' which reduced the entire party to 1 HP and it NEVER misses. In the other difficulty settings this move won't be used. Brendor should do the attack, Seelah Gandra should stick to the healing unless she has nobody to heal, then she can just attack (which is even advisable, as you should have noticed by know that by attacking you can gain extra AP for spells. This also happens when receving damage).
After this boss has been killed the evil force in this temple is gone, meaning you won't encounter any monsters here any more. Just walk all the way back you came to the big hall of the temple
001:>Examine the statue of the goddess to finish this mission.

Zolaman Prison

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv10lv10lv16lv8lv13
Quick Overview:
This is the final dungeon of chapter 1, but also the largest dungeon of chapter 1, so you'd better be ready for it.
Also note that you have a party of 5 now. You can only take 4 into combat at once, but you can change your party members in the field menu and during combat. Please note that in the medium mode characters who did not participate in combat will only gain half EXP and in the Hard Mode they won't gain EXP at all. In the Easy mode you're all cool regardless if you used a character. You should always keep this in mind if you want to get the best out of your group.
The enemies here can give you a hard time, especially the Hirelings. So be on your guard!
As this is a prison, there are many cells. Most of them contain treasure, but not all of them. I'll leave it up to you to check them out, I'm not going to mention them all.
Well, talked enough. Let's go!

  2. Demon Soul Breaker (not in the Easy mode)
  3. Crush (not in the easy mode)
  4. Splash
  5. Fireblast (not in the Easy Mode)
  6. First Aid
  7. Quake (not in the Easy mode)
  8. Tsunami (Not in the Easy Mode)

This is the final boss of chapter 1, and as you can see she got quite a bunch of spells at her disposal. I personally chose Eric, Irravonia, Rebecca and Seelah Gandra for this job. Most of all because this boss is rather quick, so you need a pretty fast group here. She is not able to perform any 'normal attack', so can only use her spells. With 'Crush' and 'Demon Soul Breaker' at her disposal she can be a threat as it reduces you to 1 HP and both spells NEVER miss, though Crush only hits 1 character 'Demon Soul Breaker' hits the entire party. Also beware of her 'Fireblast' and 'Quake' spells and those can be lethal if your HP is a bit low, so do everything in your power to keep your HP up, that takes priority over everything, and in Seelah Gandra can't do it Irravonia will have to do and otherwise, don't hold back on your items. Her 'Dark Vision' spell can confuse you, but oddly enough that's the least of your problems. Keeping your HP up can be quite a challenge here. When you play the Easy mode, most of the dangerous spells will not be used, but you still need to watch out for Dark Vision as it can still confuse you.
=After this fight, exit south to complete this dungeon.
And so far chapter 1.
You will now end up onto the world map. The working of the worldmap is quite easy, actually.
You just have a list of locations currently available to you, at the present time those are:
=Doubline
That's just handy to have a city at your disposal to restock your supplies and to have a blue savespot (I suggest you use it or you'll be teleported back to the start of the prison when you die).
=The prison
That's just back the way you came, so let's just skip that, unless you feel there's still something there you need.
=Dragoncrak Forest
You can see that one highlighted as "NEW". That's just because you've never been there yet.
Well, you can make your selection by the the arrow keys, the directional buttons of your gamepad, or by clicking the desired location with the mouse.
When you are ready to start with chapter 2, go to "Dragon-Crack Forest!"

Walkthrough - Chapter 2

Quick Overview

Chapter 2 is basically an introduction to what the game will be in chapter 3 and later.
The world will open up to you and from now on you will be able to get back to locations you've visited before, though some of them need to be unlocked as you play, don't ya worry, I'll tell ya when you can do that.
Two new heroes will be introduced during this chapter, but they won't join your group until chapter 3.
The dungeons were short until now, as chapter 1 was a global intro to the game. In this chapter the dungeons are significantly longer, meaning you should be properly prepared before taking them on.
In this chapter you'll also be able to find the first sidequest. I'll mention it in this FAQ when that sidequest becomes available, however to find the walkthrough for that I refer to the sidequest section.
Well, the object is easy. In this chapter you'll need to find four dragons and they'll give Eric his spells.
Well, talked enough already, let's get this chapter on the roll. ;)

Quick Overview:
A pretty straight forward forest location. If you look well you can find a better weapon for all your current characters. If you want them search well, as I ain't gonna direct you to all of them. :P

000:>=OPTIONAL: Can you see the trees to the east look a bit odd? Is it a secret passage? Yes it is, and in that passage a Traveler's Emblem can be found.

=When the road splits in two take the western one (eastern is a sword for either Eric or Rebecca)
=At the intersection South
=At the next intersection East
=At the end the most eastern way South
=At the end West
=At the end South and then East
=ROUTE-CHECK: If you see a savespot to the east here and a sideway east containing a new wand for Irravonia, you are right on track.
=Follow the route east
=Exit East

Red Dragon Cave

Let's cut a few things short. This is a disappearing dungeon, so once you completed it, you cannot come back here. Because of that there are no treasures here so, don't bother looking for them.
Now you can wander around this dungeon and you'll find blocks piled up. They form the hint on how to solve the puzzle in the far east.
Please note, solving it will ignite a boss fight, so make sure you are ready to face it.
(Oh yeah, needless to say, but ALL enemies here are fire based and weak to water).

!!!:>Okay, a few notes now.
=Eric will now have the power to use the power of the red dragon. As soon as you make him attack any enemy at all, he'll learn his first spell because of that "Flame".
=Just like Irravonia, Eric can learn more powerful fire spells by using the fire spell you have now as much as you can.
=You'll end up in Dragon Crack Forest. Just exit East to get outta here.
=There are a few new items on the world map. One of them is the Training Battle Field. You can do nothing there but fight. All monsters you encountered before can be encountered here. It's nothing more than a place for level grinding if you please.
=Next there's the Cross-Roads, the place is nothing more than the name suggests. A cross-roads. If you enter the place and exit it to the west, you can reach Xenor, all old Xenor Bushes areas and the Exam Ruins. When you enter it South you can reach Frendor and the Mysterious Crypt (remember that there was a Travel Emblem there you couldn't get because Irravonia was not available. As you have her now, you can go for it).
=Both the cities of Frendor and Xenor contain Stone Masters. You may want to visit them. ;)
=Last but not least, the secret dungeon "The Mad House" is now available. When you exit the Cross-Roads to the East, you'll get there.
The story will continue when you take on Iskarderiu Forest.

It does not matter at all in which order you take them on, you need to do them both anyway. Once you did them both you'll meet a boss back here and then this mission is over.

I took on the green cave first (south), but like I said before, it doesn't matter at all.

Green Dragon Cave

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv16lv16lv18lv16lv17
Quick Overview:
The Green Dragon is the poison dragon. All enemies here are based on poison. Most of them are also slightly weak to fire. This is one of the dungeons in which Irravonia can become a true killer depending how well you worked her out. Eric might support her with his own fire magic on this track.

000:>=This dungeon has 5 roads. The middle one must always be the last one, the others can be taken on in random order. At the end of each of them you will find a note saying one of the flasks is poison. Once you got all four of these notes go back to the entrance
=Go straight SOUTH
=Here you'll find a stone table with five flasks examine it
PUZ:>You see five flasks. If you found all four notes, four of them will be marked with a skull. Those ones are poisonous, drinking any of those will drop the HP of you entire party to 1 and you fail the puzzle. If you drink the correct flask you'll solve the puzzle. However, the flasks will first move straight through each other (Like a shell game, only this version of that game is an honest version). The number of movements and the speed is dependent on your chosen difficulty. Look well and pick the correct bottle. (It's different each playthough so I cannot note the correct bottle in this FAQ).

White Dragon Cave

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv17lv17lv19lv16lv18
Quick Overview:
The enemies here are killers, so be well-prepared. Especially the pinguin can give you nightmares.
I personally worked out Irravonia to fire level 8 so she has fireblast. That spell can be a life saver. If you worked out her other magics as well as you can start her with enough AP at the start of every battle your life will be a lot easier. Eric can have the same effect when his Red Dragon is at level 8, however Eric is harder to get at that level at this point and he mostly starts with less AP than Irravonia does. (If Irravonia is not worked out well enough on that and you don't feel like grinding. The Fairy Elder in Frendor might help, if you got enough Magic Stones, that is).
What you also need to watch out for are the icy floors. The normal floors are just normal, the icefloors will make you slide until you're off the ice or until you hit something. The difference is sometimes hard to see, so watch out.
Well, I guess you already found out that all enemies here have an affinity to ice and are weak to fire. :)

This dungeon is pretty straightforward, but the enemies can give you a hard time. The trick of Irravonia getting them all in one big spell doesn't work here, so you'll need to fall back on tactics. Also beware of the Shadows as they can do instant kill attacks.

Walkthrough - Chapter 3

Quick Overview

In chapter 3 things are really going deeper into the story. You begin this chapter with Seelah Gandra and, yes Irravonia made it (sorry to spoil that) so you'll start this chapter with those two girls.
Well Rebecca will join the party soon and she'll bring both Dernor and Merya who also join the party.
First concern is -- of course -- rescueing Eric and Brendor and after that some new mysteries will begin.
There are several enemies here (most notably bosses) where just being high in level won't help you to get past them. You'll need to come up with a plan now. You basically should know what your characters can do by now and if a boss defeats you keep in mind why it did defeat you so you can come up with a true strategy.
What I can tell you for sure is that Irravonia should at least have the spell "Splash" by now. If she hasn't focus on getting that spell first by using the "Heal" spell like crazy which increases her water level. Irravonia can learn the spell once your water magic is level 5 or higher. When you reached that level, just let Irravonia perform a normal attack and she'll learn the spell. I'm serious here as I deem it very unlikely you'll get past the first boss of this chapter without it.
Well, that all said, let's get this show on the road ;)

Naked Rocks

CHARACTERCHARACTER
lv18lv18
Quick Overview:
As Irravonia and Seelah Gandra are the only two characters here, and as those two are not the strongest on the physical department, so I adepted the enemies they'll meet so you can get past them without too much trouble.
This dungeon contains two parts basically, the outside and the inside. Important to note is that they are two separate maps with their own area numbering. I had to tell you this to prevent confusion.
As soon as you killed the boss here you'll be able to turn off random encounters here if you desire.
Well, let's go.

OUTSIDE PART:
000:>=Go all the way East
=At the end you'll find a way South. Hit it!
CAVE PART:

CHARACTERCHARACTER

  1. Gaea Charge >>> Quake
  2. Hydro Charge >>> Tsunami
  3. Pyro Charge >>> Inferno
  4. Aero Charge >>> Hurricane

Don't go into this fight mindlessly. If you know how to deal with this fellow you'll kill it without even getting 1 point of damage, otherwhise this fight will be impossible to win. For starters this boss can hardly do anything without charging. Charging will tie it to an element, for example 'Pyro Charge' will tie it to the fire element and weak to the opposing element (in this case water). After that the boss will go crazy in casting a very powerful spell in the chosen element mostly killing you easily in the process UNLESS Irravonia hits it with a spell of the opposing element. That will produce a lot of damage on it and it will lose its charge and have to charge again and mostly it'll go for a different element, all you got to do is make Irravonia hit it with the opposing element again. Keep this up and you'll win without one point of damage. If Irravonia gets low on AP, I hope you got some carrots ready. Let Seelah Gandra use them on Irravonia if you need them.

A big no-no here is to use your heavy spells like 'Inferno' or 'Hurricane'. The weak spells are strong enough, there is no need to waste your AP on the higher spells as it will accomplish nothing and you'll only handicap yourself.

BOSS FIGHT!

Aldarus
CHARACTER
lv24

  1. Double Power Strike (Hard Mode Only)

Aldarus is going rather easy on you in this fight. He only has 250 hitpoints and never does anything else but attacking. In the hard mode he might occasionally perform a "Double Power Strike" but the chance for that is not that high. So basically this is just an attack-when-you-can-heal-when-you-must fight.

(SNEAKY TIP: You can poison him).

With 5000000 HP and nearly every attack being lethal this guy appears to be impossible to defeat especially as you will hardly inflict any damage on it.

Well you should know by now that stone enemies are bound to be weak to wind and that Irravonia can help you here. Let her go crazy with 'Breeze' and revive dead characters when you need to. Don't use 'Hurricane'. The 'Breeze' spell is good enough.

Quick Overview:
This first thing you'll notice is that this city is loaded with treasures, but none of them are within reach. This was done on purpose, it's no mistake or bug or glitch or whatsoever. You'll find out soon enough why I set it up this way.
You may want to check out the guy at the stand. He has pretty powerful weapons and armor for sale, though it's pretty high-priced, but if you can afford it, buy it ;)
Well, if you want you can hear everybody out, I'll just get on the story straight ;)

Kirana
CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER

  2. Dark Vision
  3. Zero Kelvin
  4. The Power of Evil
  5. Life Force
  6. Corona
  7. Heal
  8. Biohazard
  9. Darkness
  10. Exhaust

Kirana as a lot of nasty spells at her disposal and all of them can be quite lethal when you're not careful. But here's the rub. Kirana likes to cheat and that's actually her weakness. Every time at least one person has full HP she'll also use 'Demon Soul Breaker', putting you all to 1 HP. This is a job for Seelah Gandra. Make sure she's always up front and make her use 'Recover' to heal herself all up. Don't bother healing up the rest of the party because as soon as Seelah Gandra is full HP, Kirana will use 'Demon Soul Breaker' anyway. This way you keep her away from any other spells and you'll never be in mortal danger. The other characters should focus on the attack and use a carrot on Seelah Gandra if she's getting low on AP. A few nasty tricks. If Eric has 'Freeze' cast it, you'll be glad you did. And she can also be poisoned.

You thought this battle was hard, eh... I told ya, with the bosses in this chapter you have to come up with a plan, that's all :P

026:>Well, after this dungeon the party will automatically leave the dungeon, go back to Gagolton.

The City of Gagolton -- Kara what did you do?

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv29lv29lv30lv29lv29lv31lv27

Well, the city is entirely deserted. Of course you wonder what happened here, but the game won't tell you yet, but trust me it will be revealed later.
In any case, you can take all treasure you couldn't take before now, most notably the Travel Emblem in the south-east of town.
The guards in the underground section are also gone now, but you cannot do anything in the room they were guarding at this stage of the game.
You may also want to take a look in the basement of the house North-East. Picking up the note there will unlock "The Abyss", an optional dungeon.
If you wonder about the weapons for sale here (as I deem it likely you didn't get them all yet), the 'slutty merchant' in Doubline now sells them all, so if you still want those weapons, talk to her.
When you are done here, leave this place.

Well, he can be poisoned, just like Aldarus and Kirana, so make use of that as it will shorten this fight a lot. Don't keep your AP for later as you may lose it anyway on Exhaustion. Walkthrough - Chapter 4

Quick Overview

Well, like the title suggests, chapter 4 is where most of the important secrets are going to be revealed, no need to note those in this FAQ. And of course, Aziella joined your party and she will keep you company for the rest of the game.
Her starting level is always 5 levels higher than your highest level character on the moment she joined the group. Small exception to this rule is when this would bring her too close to the level cap of your chosen difficulty.
Game wise, this chapter can be cut into multiple sections.
First you get a chapter prologue without any battles. Good, eh?
After that, the team will split in two parties.
Team Eric - with Irravonia, Brendor and Aziella.
Team Rebecca - With Scyndi, Dernor and Merya.
You can play both teams in random order, your choice.
After that you'll get the Dark Storage, which is a collection of multiple dungeons in one big one.
Lastly you'll get a solo dungeon for Merya.
When you selected the hard mode or the "no-life game" mode, it's very likely your party will hit the maximum levels here, as the level cap in that mode is 50. During my test plays this happened to me during the Dark Storage mission. Keep in mind that this can be a bit costly in the missions to come in chapter 5 and of course the optional missions of that chapter.
When you play the normal mode the maximum level is level 100. It is possible to reach that level in this chapter, but if you do you are overlevelled for everything this chapter has to offer.
When you play the easy mode, and you reach the maximum level (which is 250), I'd check the phone book for a good psychologist who can help you the importance of a social life :P
One last note before I start. Before you start on this chapter the max possible travel level (the big yellow number in the upper left corner of the screen) is 12, when you end this chapter it's 16. If it's any lower, you missed some travel emblems. Since all you can do with those levels is skipping encounters, you may not care, but in case you care, I'll put in in here.
(Oh yeah, those numbers only apply in the normal play-through, as in the "New Game+" your travel level can be higher).

Rayal Palace - Welcome to Aeria

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv33lv33lv33lv34lv33lv34lv31lv39
Well, if you desire, you may take a tour of the castle, but I guess there's not that much to see.
You can find a soldier by the name of Scharum, who'll challenge you to a duel, though your levels may yet be too low for him, but if you are interested, please read the Scharum section in the sidequests chapter of this FAQ.
At the south east of this castle, there's a secret passage with a travel emblem, in case you care ;)

002:>From the entrance, go straight ahead
003:>Keep going ahead
004:>=Keep going North
=Here you'll find the king speak to him, and eventually you'll be in a different section of the castle with only Eric at your disposal.
(NOTE, this section has its own area numbers, so don't get confused).

003:>Enter the hut
004:>=Speak to the woman you'll find here

The two teams

Now your party will split into two teams.
Team Eric:
Will go to Malabia's temple. Eric will be accompanied by Aziella, Brendor and Irravonia.
Team Rebecca:
Will go to Cat-Island to bring Katha to her people. Rebecca will be accompanied by: Scyndi, Merya and Dernor.
Both teams will have two dungeons and a city. Both teams will encounter one boss. And both teams will have a travel emblem in one of their dungeons which they cannot reach until the team is re-united.
Choose which team you wish to play first, it really doesn't matter as you'll have to play both teams anyway and as soon as you're finished with your first team the game will automatically switch to the other team.
For the good of this FAQ I'll start with team Eric.

Team Eric - Overview

Team Eric starts in Rayal Castle.
Just leave the castle to start on this section for real.
Eric has two dungeons, Fruskbrando and Malabia's cave.
The absence of Scyndi can make this the harder section of the two, as you have no healer now. Aziella does have a healing spell, but it's way too weak for serious business, and Irravonia is not the best healer either, so you may need to rely on your items here, so don't push it.

This guy is a fast one, but fortunately not as fast as its little brothers you may have met before. The name means litterally 'Demon Air', so as you can guess this is a master of wind and thus weak to earth spells, so that sets Irravonia's role straight. You will need to heal a lot, so find a proper balance in this. One thing is nice to know. You can poison it ;)
After your victory on this big fella, just exit south and you can get to the next dungeon.

Team Eric - Malabia's Cave

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv33lv33lv33lv39
This cave is pretty large and swamped with puzzles of two kinds.
Block puzzles for Brendor to push his way around in, and switch puzzles and which all switches must be green but when activating one you'll also activate the switches around it.
Since you already fought the boss, let's not waste any more time and get this show on the road.

015:>Go east to get the cave itself visible
002:>=NOTE: The passage to the North cannot yet be reached as you need Scyndi for that, so leave it be until the group is re-united.
=OPTIONAL: BRENDOR: The most east block leads to a secret passage hiding a Black Orb.

002:>Sit out the start scenario, and after that enter the temple.
003:>Examine the statue to end this section.
The game will now switch to team Rebecca, unless you already did that part, then the game will continue with the team re-united in Rayal Palace.

Team Rebecca - Overview

Team Rebecca begins on the beach on Cat-Island. You'll first go to the main town of this area, Felixium. After that come the Purple Forest and Frundarmon's Mansion.
This is a bit of the horror section of the game. Though the monsters here are not weak, you got your healer now, so USE HER for that.

Team Rebecca - Felixium

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv33lv34lv34lv31

Just sit out all scenario. After that buy from the merchant what you need, and put your money on the bank if you're fear losing it to wipe-outs.
Oh yeah, make Scyndi examine the statue in this town and she'll be able to call on the god Thrur, the Phelynx god of thunder, so (you guessed it), this will allow her to cast lightning magic.
When you're ready to go, leave the city and go to the Purple Forest.

Team Rebecca - Purple Forest

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv33lv34lv34lv31

It's clear this forest is true to its name. This dungeon is just a simple go-through dungeon. Just follow the road and you'll eventually reach the exit.
There are no bosses here, so this is an easy run. Well, okay, the enemies may cause you a bit of trouble. :P

Team Rebecca - The Children of Frundarmon (Fundarmon's Mansion)

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv33lv34lv34lv31
This is a short, yet creepy, and not exactly easy dungeon.
It's setup is a bit different than what you saw in this game until now.
The first thing you'll see is that all rooms have aside from a number also a name. In this FAQ I'll keep myself to the numbers, to keep this FAQ in one layout with the rest of the FAQ.
Second, this dungeon has no random encounters, but fixed encounters, and all of them only contain undead children. All children are weak to light, but too bad, you don't have that element yet. Lightning comes close so that element can help you on all children except the Phelynx Girl who'll heal when you attack her with that element.
Some rooms will get you into an encounter every time you enter it, so if you desire to grind levels, here is your way to do it, however, keep in mind that (unless you play in Easy mode) these kids can go in Oversoul mode and that can make them extremely dangerous and the boss can summon these kids and in that fight they can go Oversoul too.
Oh yeah, one last hint. When you are lucky, Merya can steal wonderful items from all of the children you fight here. And another important note, none of the children will respond to Merya's "Smoke Bomb".
Well, let's get this show on the road.

001:>=Approach the girl at the exit into the corridor and she'll attack you. Kill her.
=Enter the corridor
002:>=OPTIONAL: You can kill the Befindo Boy to the west as he guards the way to the secret basement, which is the secret dungeon of this chapter. However, as long as your party is still split in two you won't get far there as you need Irravonia there. But it's your call ;)
=OPTIONAL: The most west and east ways north lead to treasure, but also to fights. The travel emblem in the west room cannot be reached without Irravonia, so leave it be for now.
=Kill the two kids guarding the stairway
=Hit the stairs
006:>=Kill the four kids you see here.
=Enter the western room to the North
007:>=Kill the kids who'll welcome you here. (I warn ya, they can give you a hard time. Oh yeah, don't go to the corridor to save if you get past them. They'll respawn if you do).
=Behind the closets a puzzle is hidden (Merya can mark the spot with her scan ability), hit that puzzle.
=You'll get races in random order, so look well at the race. The correct answers are: Befindo - M, Elf - F, Fairy - F, Human - M, Phelynx - F (in case you didn't figure it out, the answers are based on the gender of the children of the specific races you fought to get up to this point).
=Go back to the corridor.
006:>=East
=Kill the kids guarding the stayway
=When you are ready to face Frundarmon himself hit the stairs.
009:>Defeat Frundarmon to end this section
BOSS FIGHT!

Frundarmon
CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv35lv36lv36lv33

  1. Watching your move
  2. Aid me my children
  3. Sleep (not in Easy Mode)

Frundarmon himself is very very weak, he only has a lot of HP, but... that's it. The ugly part lies in the fact that when alone he'll always summon a kid to aid him in battle, and at fixed intervals he'll summon another. He may also do so randomly. How agressively he summons children to aid him depends on your difficulty setting. Ocasionally he may put you to sleep. When Frundarmon dies, all summoned children will be free of their curse and die with him.

As for a strategy, the very first thing you want to do is let Merya use "Pilfer" on him to score an Ambrosia. Next, you should know by now which kids are truly dangerous: the Phelyx girl and the Fairy Girl, so best is you kill those as soon as they get summoned. When it comes to the other kids, they are not harmless, but you can best not waste your energy on those or this fight will last forever, this may get you a lot more experience points, but you risk running out of AP and items, so it's best to leave them be. Of course when he summons too many children you may want to get rid of a few of them as well. A good thing to keep in mind, his summon move may miss. When there are no children the move never misses, when there are 4 kids the move has a 50% miss rate. Frundarmon is weak to lightning and his defensive stats are even lower than that of the enemies Irravonia met as a kid in the prologue, so no problem there. Good luck

This will end this section.
If you didn't do Team Eric's section yet, the game will switch to that. If you did, the game will resume with a full party in Rayal Palace.

Party re-united. A few notes!

Well, the party is now re-united. Before you go on with the game a few notes.
*:>When Scyndi speaks to Malabia, you'll obtain her powers and Scyndi will be able to cast light magic. The level Malabia starts with is the average level of the three other gods together.

At the end of every sub-dungeon you'll meet one of the Order of Onyx members. You cannot beat them unless Merya steals a key from them. All sections also contain a boss halfaway.
Once you got all four keys, you can come back here to open the main door to finish this place.
This is also a place where you'll get a lot of Experience points and when you play the hard mode you'll probably get your level cap here (as the level cap is 50 in the hard mode). When you play the medium or easy mode this is not that likely.
One last note, near all Onyx members you'll find a teleporter which can teleport you back to the main section.
Ready? Go!

Well, this time you must win against Rondomo, but I suppose you already guessed that. The moves "Bomb" and "Somebody Set Us Up The Bomb" are basically the same move, only the former is based on physical power and the other is a magical attack. The "Chemical Attack" is a very annoying one as it can cause all kinds of nasty status changes. The "!!! 19. Aldarus: Double Power Strike (Hard Mode Only)
  20. Aldarus: Battle Cry
  21. Aldarus: Psycho Crack
  22. Aldarus: Stun Crush

All four at once. Not much new in the abilities and the stats are roughly the same as before and all four of them have 8000 HP.

Now here comes the important part. Kirana will use her Samkurnalo move to heal the entire party and all status changes as soon as one of her male companions get only 1 HP damage, she won't do this when you damage her. Not to mention that if you manage to kill one of the males hefore you strike her down, she'll cast "Hellfire" killing the entire party in the process. Cut short, Kirana must be taken out first. This is harder than you think as "Chemical Bomb" and "Jeracko Spin" can mess this strategy up entirely due to confusion so CURE CONFUSION AS SOON AS YOU CAN. Kirana can be poisoned so that makes things easier and use your most powerful attacks to get rid of her as soon as you can.

Once Kirana is down you can take out the males in any order you like. I prefer to focus on Rondomo as he's the most dangerous one. Also good to note is that both Aldarus and Rondomo can get poisoned, but don't poison them prior to taking out Kirana, she MUST be out first, I can't stress that enough. When it comes to Jeracko and Aldarus I basically never really bother about whom I'll take out first as they are equally as dangerous.

One final tip when you play either medium or hard mode (In the easy mode it doesn't matter): This fight is most likely the fight which awards most Experience, and as folks not used will get less EXP in the medium mode and no EXP at all in the hard mode, make sure that all characters have performed at least one action.

Frendor Bushes

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv100lv59lv57lv59lv59lv59lv58lv60
A pretty simple dungeon, and a boss fight.
Now what is pretty much the pending factor here is Kirana. She must be on front and she cannot be swapped. Her level depends on your chosen difficulty. So in the Easy mode she's level 250, in the Medium mode she's level 100 and in the hard mode she's level 50. As Kirana is not only a temporary character she's also at the maximum level so she cannot gain experience, so if you are too agressively with her you can (unless you play easy mode) miss a lot of EXP on the road, so keep that in mind.

Black Prison

CHARACTER
lv58
This is the final dungeon of chapter 4.
It's not your regular dungeon. First of all, Merya has to take on this dungeon alone. Next there are no random encounters, in stead there are guards here and you must find your way through this place without being seen.
The guards don't move and there eyesight is not to well either. If you keep a certain distance they won't notice you.
If the guards see you, they'll kill Merya instantly and the game will reset the last room you entered.
If you want to leave, speak to Dernor and the party will reunite and leave this spot.
Well, let's go.

  3. Shuriken
  4. Steal Cash
  5. Bacteria Sword
  6. Fast Draw
  7. Backstab (Hard Mode Only)

The difficulty of this fight depends on how well you worked out Merya's Rogue skills. If you are level 15+ on your Rogue Skills then use "Stunning stab" and you have an easy go, and use it again when he awakens from his paralysis. If you did not, this will be your classing strike if you can and heal if you must fight. As he can kick you off the time gauge, you need to be careful.
006:>Well the hard work is done now.
=Hit the switch
=Enter the cell
007:>=Speak to Eric and he'll go with you
=Leave the cell
006:>Hit the stairs on the east side.
Sit out the scenario that follows and Eric will be powered up, permanently. He's now also completely protected against paralysis, so it won't make any sense any more to make him equip a sapphire or to boost his paralysis resistance through magic stones.
And with that this chapter ends.

Walkthrough - Chapter 5

Quick Overview

You start this chapter with only the male characters, as the females are on their own 'quest' (which is not playable), but they will rejoin the party soon.
First you'll visit Zondra's Grave, after that the females will rejoin the group and you'll go down to Dyrt.
Dyrt contains multiple dungeons before you'll get onto the final dungeon in which you'll meet the final boss.
Well, let's waste no more time and get this show on the road.
*:>You'll begin this chapter in King Herondo's castle. Leave the castle
*:>Go to the beach and travel to Independence.
*:>Leave independence and go to Zondra's Grave (if you have unlocked some optional dungeons you may have to scroll down in the location list. The location is certainly there).

Zondra's Grave

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv60lv58lv60
I don't need to say much about this place. Just go all the way North and you'll eventually find a grave and next to it somebody you may know well. Just hear him out and when he told you everything, you can just go south to leave this place.

Xenor Bushes

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv60lv58lv60
NOTE!
Technically it is possible to reach this point of the game without unlocking this location, and if you did, the location will even at this point of the game not be visible on the map.
But fear not! I tried my best to keep the game finishable under any circumstances, so you can still get there.
When you go to the Crossroads and exit the place WEST, the Xenor Bushes will appear on the map and then you can still visit it.

On the moment you arrive here the girls are already waiting for you. You'll just get to hear some scenario and exit the place automatically after you've spoken the girls (who will now also rejoin the party).

The forgotten kingdom of Dyrt - Overview

Welcome to Dyrt. Now Dyrt is not one dungeon, but several dungeons, and optional dungeons and (odd as it may seem) a city (you may understand if you actually understand the realm of Dyrt itself).
You'll have to make your way through these dungeon to reach the keep and there you'll find the guy himself. Are you ready?
When you want to go elsewhere, you can always return to Delisto by speaking to Ariel, who'll stay on the beach for as long as you are in Dyrt. When you want to go back to Dyrt, you can just ask Ariel in Mermaid Harbor in Delisto.
Talked enough! Let's go!

Dyrt - The village of Umerington

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv86lv86lv83lv88lv84lv85lv85lv86
This place is a both village and dungeon. It's the only village/city in the game where you can get random encounters, and yet the services you may expect in a city, like a bank, an item shop, a weapon shop and a bank are all here. If you've spoken to people or remember some stuff people told you earlier in the game, you should understand why that is (even the people here might explain it to you, well sort of).
I must note that the weapons you can buy here are the best in the game, prior to taking on the sealed bosses. The armor you can buy here is the very best armor of the game, you won't find anything better or equal elsewhere, so if you have a coin to spend, this is a good place to do so.
This place is the last place you'll get through prior to taking on the final dungeon. If you can find Jurgen here, pay him 20,000 shilders and you can turn off the random encounters (if you follow my directions, you'll find him easily).
The way to the secret dungeon "Caves Of Death" is also hidden here, and I will tell you where to find it.
Let's go!

000:>=OPTIONAL: Next to the savespot is somebody named "Cynthia". If you talk to her, she'll explain the situation here.
=OPTIONAL: The house directly North-East of the savespot is an item shop. In case you need items.

=OPTIONAL: The house east of this intersection is the weapon shop.
=OPTIONAL: The most eastern house at the next intersection is the bank
=OPTIONAL: North of that intersection, you may see the trees to the west set in a little odd manner. If you go through here, you'll find the secret passage to the optional dungeon Caves of Death.
=At the end east
=OPTIONAL: The house North is the armor shop
=OPTIONAL: The guy in front of the house next to the armor shop is Jurgen. Talk to him and if you pay him 20,000 shilders you can turn off the encounters in Umerington.

BOSS FIGHT!

Dark Servant
CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv95lv93lv92lv96lv92lv93lv93lv94

  1. Read below

This is a very interesting battle. The first thing you may want to do (unless you play the easy mode) is let Scyndi cast Solaria to get rid of the assistant Dark Servants, so that only the boss herself remains

Next you should understand this boss' mechanics. She will always use the spell 'Study' to analyse one party member (his or her face will appear on screen) and then use his or her abilities against you for several turns before she analyses someone else. This boss keeps doing that the entire fight.

In other words, the more worked out your characters are, the more dangerous this boss can become. She's weak to light, so use that as much as you can

This boss fight gives you the most exp than any other battle in the game (Except maybe the full order of Onyx fight). Make sure everybody has performed at least one move in this fight to cash in fully (in the easy mode you don't have to trouble yourself with it).

005:>=Exit North
006:>=Save if you want
=Exit East
007:>=OPTIONAL: The final travel emblem of the game is here. Take it ;)
=Examine the woman lying here and the game will reveal the last mysteries that were reamining (and recover your wounds too).
=OPTIONAL: If you still want to fight before meeting the final boss, examining this woman again will recover your wounds all the time.
=When you're done, exit west
006:>=Save if you want and exit North
008:>=Lord Dzgjymza is already waiting for you here. Speak to him and fight him.
BOSS FIGHT!

Lord Dzgjymza
CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv100lv99lv98lv100lv98lv98lv99lv100

  1. Read below

This boss has two rounds

Round #1:
In this round, Lord Dzgjymza is invincible so don't even try hurting him. You can let Scyndi cast Solaria to get at least rid of his Dark Servants. Just keep your HP up and after 10 turns he'll break off the fight.

Round #2:
In this round it's business!
Lord Dzjymza fights always in the same pattern.
Turn #1: Will be either: Flame, Splash, Breeze, Rock, Ray, Darkness, Jolt or Frost
Turn #2: Bioharazard
Turn #3: Malification
Turn #4: Will be either: Flame, Splash, Breeze, Rock, Ray, Darkness, Jolt or Frost
Turn #5: Justice Charge (in the hard mode this is skipped)
Turn #6: Day of judgment
Turn #7: Recover
Turn #8: Will be either: Fireblast, Tsunami, Hurricane, Quake, Solaria, Power of Evil, Lightning or Blizzard
Turn #9: Demon Soul Breaker

And after all that, he'll start over. Having this pattern at your disposal means you basically know what kind of move you can expect.
A few notes to take in order
Don't bother healing the poison after Biohazard. The next turn will be malification in which you'll get your poison back and much other status changes too. It is best to heal that immediately.

Special alertness should be paid to Day of Judgment. He has to charge up for that move, giving you extra time for a reason (in the hard mode he doesn't have to charge up for it, ha ha) :P

Day of Judgment deals 95% of your maximum HP damage and there is no possible defense against it, so all characters should be at full HP or they will fall.

If you keep all this in order you have good chances to win this.

Now one final note (but a very important one).
Malabia and several other people told you before, the only person who can kill Dzgjymza is Eric. The other characters can only hurt him, but Eric has to deal the final blow. When "Invalid" appears in stead of damage, Dzgjymza is at 1 HP, when that happens, put Eric up front and make him perfom a normal attack (which will also be invalid) and he'll follow up with his automove "Coup de Grace" to finish him off.

If you win this fight the game is over.
CONGRATULATIONS, YOU COMPLETED: THE SECRETS OF DYRT!
Go out and celebrate.

SideQuests

There are several sidequests in the game. It's up to you if you think it's worth your time and effort to go for them.
Please note that once unlocked you can do them at any time of the game, but what I note is the party + levels that I had when taking them on.

The Mad House

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv15lv14lv18lv14lv16
Available:Once you defeated the Red Dragon
How to get there:Exit the Cross-Roads to the east. The exit is hidden between the trees, so you need to search a little
Reward:Traveler's Emblem
Quick Overview:This house is cursed. The exits are not really logical. Once you entered you can only get out by completing the sidequest. Are you ready for it?

001:>The first thing you see is a read seal. You can do nothing with it until chapter 5 and will then be covered separately in this walkthrough.
You can read the sign if you want. It only contains a warning.
=When you are ready, enter the house.
002:>=OPTIONAL: Exit south to score some treasure. If you exit back North you get back here.
=Exit North
003:>=OPTIONAL: If you hug the most northern wall and keep going east you can find a secret passage.
=Exit North
004:>=East
=IRRAVONIA: Hop over the hole in the floor
=Exit North
005:>=OPTIONAL: The center part of the room is actually a secret room which can be entered from both east and west side. Inside you'll find an emerald.
=Exit SOUTH! (Yes, not North)
006:>Find your way through the maze of chairs and exit South
007:>Exit North
008:>Save your game if you want and exit North
009:>Go North and fight the boss
BOSS FIGHT!

Creep

  1. Vitalize
  2. Demon Soul Breaker (not in easy mode)
  3. Dark Vision
  4. Corona! (Hard Mode Only)
  5. Fireblast

Not the hardest boss there is, but an annoying one. It's weakness is light, though it doesn't really like fire either. Please note, due to its low defenses, you won't score AP in this fight too easily, so don't push it.
009:>Exit North
010:>=Pick up the Traveler's Emblem and you'll get the achievement for completing this sidequest
=Exit South
001:>=Exit West to get outta here :)

The Abyss

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv27lv27lv28lv26lv27lv29lv25
Available:After defeating Kirana in the mines of Airom
How to get there:First go to Gagolton and enter the basement of the house in the North-East. Pick up the note and the Abyss will appear on the world map
Reward:Abyss Pass - When you completed the game as a whole you can unlock the sub-game "The True Abyss".
Quick Overview:-

This place contains levels from 0 till 10. With the exception of level 0, 5 and 10, all levels are generated by the computer, and because of that I cannot tell how to walk as this is different all the time. On level 5 and 10 you can find a green savespot.
On level 10 you'll find a boss, when you defeat it, it will drop the "Abyss Pass" which is your reward.
Let's go!
BOSS FIGHT!

SuperPinky

  1. Randomizer
  2. Growl
  3. Exhaust
  4. Poison Cloud
  5. Recover
  6. Freeze
  7. Quatro Power Strike
  8. Death

Well, this guy can be easy, this guy can be trouble, it all comes down to tons of luck. Your best trump card in this fight is Eric's "Darkness" spell, so cast it whenever you have the oppertunity. Other than that, make sure you have a lot of stuff ready to cure whatever you might have to take in this fight.
In case you care, it has 10,000 HP
After you defeated the boss, you can hit the crystal to get back at the world map.

Scharum

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv0lv34lv41lv36lv35lv43lv58lv46
Available:As soon as you reach Rayal Palace
How to get there:Read below
Reward:Read below
Quick Overview:Read Below

Scharum is one of the royal guards protecting the royal castle in Aeria. He can be found in the practise room in a small cellar below the castle. To get there, enter Rayal Palace, go all the way west, around the corner north, first door East.
When you speak to Scharum, he'll challenge you to a one-on-one battle. If you accept the challenge, the character you currently have in the lead will fight Scharum alone. If you win, the game won't really mention it, but Scharum will reward you with a new spell or special move, like any other spell or move, you will actually get your new move added to your list when you perform a normal attack on any enemy.
What you need to know about Scharum is that he's not the strongest guy around, but he ain't weak either and the fact that you fight him alone is something you shouldn't underestimate. He may skip a few turns though and he only has 250 HP, so if you strike him with the most powerfull stuff you have at your disposal, you may win this fight, though luck does play a little role here too.
The levels I noted above are the levels I had when I took him on with that particular character, when it says "0", I did not yet taken him on with that character, but I will in the update of my FAQ. ;)
How which move you'll obtain depends on which character fights him. Here goes
*:>Eric
=Bacteria Sword -- Attack causing poison + disease
*:>Irravonia
=Magic Strike -- The name says it all
*:>Brendor and Rebecca
=Focus -- Will gain extra AP
*:>Scyndi
=Cursed Healing -- Heals your enemy, but will it will get a lot of nasty status changes as a "bonus"
*:>Dernor
=Willpower -- Dernor will heal his own HP and cure status ailments
*:>Merya
=Hijo ni kosokuna doro -- An attack. Damage based on Merya's and her target's Agility. It's twice as strong as her regular "Fast Draw".
*:>Aziella
=Double Bolt -- Attack with 2x attack power.
And what can you expect from Scharum:
Let's now give a quick overview on Scharum's own abilities:
*:>Heal
*:>Hyper
*:>Double Power Strike
*:>Watching your move
Nice to note about "Watching your move" (which is just a turn-skipper in your advantage) as that the chance he'll use that move to skip his turns is based on your chosen difficulty setting.
Oh yeah, if you care to know. Darkness causes 25% extra damage on Scharum, the rest of the elements have no special effects on him.
Status ailments on the other hand can be used on him, and here's are his resistance rates against that:
*:>Poison / Disease - 91%
*:>Paralysis - 38% (Hint: Merya can cheat here, as Scharum may otherwise be too strong for her).
*:>Sleep - 100%
*:>Curse - 84%
*:>Death - 100%
*:>Destruction - 100%
*:>Silence - 84%
*:>Fear - 82%
Oh yeah, to make it clear, the percentages indicate the change Scharum succesfully resists your attempt to get the status on him.
A few final notes,
*:>Scharum does not award experience, money or items. Merya cannot steal anything from him either, so fighting Scharum as a means of grinding makes no sense at all.
*:>It is possible he drops a Magic Stone, however the more often you fight Scharum, the lower the chance he drops one.
*:>When Scharum defeats you, you will not be transported to the last blue savespot, but just resume the game in the room where he is. Keep in mind that the character you used against him will most likely be on 1 HP. The savespot in the throne room is a blue one and does recover that HP, so healing items may not be needed, but if you forget this, the next fight might give you an unpleasant surprise and thus this note ;)

Frundaromon's Basement

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv33lv34lv34lv36lv35lv36lv33lv40
Available:After the party is re-united after the split sections.
How to get there:Go to Frundarmon's mansion on Cat-Island. Once there go to the corridor on the ground floor. All the way west and hit the secret passage south to get there
Reward:Several jewels you can equip to ward off status changes.
Quick Overview:This dungeon is long and also a bit complex at some points. The reward is worth the trouble though. The enemies can give you a hard time. Most of them are undead weak to light, and for that reason I strongly recommend to make sure Scyndi prayed to Malabia as you'll need her spells most here.

001:>Hit the door next to the gap (no you can't get over, don't even try).
002:>=IRRAVONIA: Fly over the gap

003:>This room is a bit mazy, but not hard to get through. I'll ignore all treasure and head straight to the exit of this small maze

A regular fight if you can and heal if you must fight. His spells are pretty strong. He is weak to light, so if he lets you, make Scyndi Exploit this weakness. I say if he lets you because I deem the chance high she'll most of the time be healing your group. The main party I used for this was Rebecca-Dernor-Azialle-Scyndi, but there are multiple setups to do this.
025:>Exit North
026:>Eastern exit south (In the North room is a green savespot, if you need one)

Red Temple

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv60lv59lv58lv59lv60lv60lv59lv61
Available:After you've been on Mermaid Harbor at least once (You don't have to travel to Dyrt, just visiting the harbor itself will do).
How to get there:After you visited Mermaid Harbor at least once, there will be a cat lying in Independence. As Scyndi understands animal language make her talk to it and it will reveal the temple to you and it will then appear as a location on the world map of Delisto.
Reward:Eric's non-combat move 'Looking for trouble'. You can use it to cause an instant encounter and to open the red seals to fight the bosses inside
Quick Overview:This is a pretty short sidequest. There are no random encounters. Only one boss. Let's go for it.

001:>Exit North

  3. Death
  4. Watching your move (easy mode only)
  5. Evil Power
  6. Burp
  7. Exhaust (Hard Mode Only)
  8. Biohazard

This guy looks a lot like the Shadow Sweeper, but as you can see it has more tricks upon its sleeve. The quickest way to go is to let Scyndi cast the spell 'Ray' whenever she can. Rebecca should use her strongest attack. If Aziella beat Scharum you may want to use 'Double Bolt'. Of course, Dernor can help with 'Croc Bite' if you charmed a croc. Cut short this guy is not hard at all, you just need to be prepared.
003:>Exit North
004:>=OPTIONAL: West is a secret passage containing a Travel Emblem.

His special moves are pretty dangerous, however he's weak to fire and light, and use that fact. Oh yeah, make Merya steal, you might get something good. :)
014:>=Continue West
015:>=Follow the way south (the area will change numbers a few times. Don't bother that, just keep going south).

Juggernaut

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv100lv100lv100lv100lv100lv100lv100lv100
Available:Read below
How to get there:Read Below
Reward:Lord Dzgjymza's Pendant. A very powerful equippable item
Quick Overview:Read Below

Juggernaut is by far the hardest boss in the game and you need more than levels to stand a chance against him.
You still want to press on? Okay, then I'll tell you how to meet him.
Juggernaut is located in the underground section of Gagolton. When the city is still inhabited, two guards will be here denying you passage. Well, that's too bad, as you won't be able to reach Juggernaut at that point of the game anyway.
Once the city is deserted you can enter the place and you'll find six holes in the wall in a door in the middle. Each hole must be filled with a Black Orb. These orbs can be found all over the world, but in none of the locations you can enter prior to Gagolton getting deserted.
Well, the places to look are:
1:>The independent forest. The party will even note it when you find it, so this is the easiest one to find.
2:>The Marshes. Past the point where you fought the Big Salamander boss is a secret passage to the west. The orb is hidden there.
3:>Malabia's Cave. Have Dernor to push the most Eastern block at the beginning and then there's a secret passage east.
4:>Dark Storage. A secret passage in Kirana's section hides the orb.
5:>The Caves of Death. At the tiles with letters, step on a wrong tile on purpose (or go in the pit on purpose if you already solved the puzzle) and in the room you end up is a secret passage west. The orb is there.
6:>The last one is in a secret passage to the east at the entrance of Lord Dzgjymza's keep.
Well if you got them all, place them in the holes here in the basement of Gagolton and the door will open. In here is a dark room. Explore it and soon Juggernaut will attack you.
BOSS FIGHT!

Juggernaut
CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv100lv100lv100lv100lv100lv100lv100lv100

  1. Several moves in all elements, status changes and healing

Juggernaut is the uberboss in the game. If you can take him out, you can really claim to be the master of the Secrets of Dyrt. Levels have little value here. You can be at most most crazy levels, even if you cheated in levels you can never reach normally by hacking the game, Juggernaut will kill you all the same if you don't have a plan or when you are not properly prepared.

Juggernaut may always move 3 times per turn. It will always be an attacking spell, a status spell and a healing spell. All of Juggernauts attacking spells will deal at least 100% damage of your maximum HP, so that sounds pretty impossible, right. But here is the rub, all his spells count as elemental spells and your resistance against those elements will reduce the damage. Stone masters can help a lot here. Even if it's only a few % anything higher than 0% on an elemental resistance will help you survive his attacking spells. When it comes to the status changes you can try to raise your resistance with stone masters or by equipping jewels. I do recommend not to go for Juggernaut prior to beating all the red seal bosses. This way you can protect all characters against at least 3 status changes, and Eric is even protected against all of them. Dernor can try to block his healing spells with Virus Bubble or Burp. Keep in mind though that Juggernaut can heal status changes on itself too, but no creature has any resistance against disease, and Juggernaut is no exception. Basically it's a matter of how far you took it upon yourself to prepare well for this fight to see if you stand any chance at all here. And some preparations can take a LOOOONG time to do.

You may also consider to leave Juggernaut be on your first playthrough and go for him in the New Game+ as it may be a little quicker to get your preparations done then.

But I've said it once and I say it again. Just levelling up won't make your chances against Juggernaut any better. Even in the easy mode this guy is a killer, but he is possible.

You will not gain any experience points or money for taking down Juggernaut. You may get some magic stones though.
You will always get Lord Dzgjymza's pendant and that item might well be the best equippable item of the game (question is if you still need that pendant once you are able to defeat a boss like Juggernaut) :P

New Game +

Introduction

The New Game+ has a few more neat features over a normal game.
Let's sum them up:
*:>Eric will have all dragons at the start of the game. This is (of course) not right in the storyline, but it's just a special gift to you in this game.
*:>Scyndi will have Weniaria and Hando Stillor at the start of the game.
*:>If Scyndi obtained Thrur and Malabia they will also be available at the start of the game.
*:>The regular experience will go as fast as in the normal game. The skille experience will have a significant bonus.
*:>There are four extra dungeons. Chapter 1 till 4 all have an extra dungeon.
*:>The Hall of Heroes has been added to the game (read its specific section).
*:>There are some new achievements not available in the normal game.
*:>The cap for the Traveler's Level is now 30 in stead of 20
*:>Magic Stones will drop more easily
Basically the rest of the game is the same as normal, however, in some dungeons you may meet some harder encounters as you normally would, so be prepared for that.

Hall of Heroes

The Hall of Heroes is a house having four representatives, and it will appear on the world map of Delisto automatically after you found your first one.
These four representatives give you some extra features you may like.
Let's have a quick overview.
*:>Diane Foxey
Diane will list all enemies you've defeated during THIS playthrough. Please note, enemies you've removed from batter with Void, Blow Away, and Smoke Bomb will not appear in her list until you really killed one. Charmed enemies will also not appear unless you also killed one of hte same kind. The enemies you can only meet in the True Abyss, are also not listed here. Lord Dzgjymza is also not listed. The Big Mama Slime and the first encounter with Rondomo will always be lost, but both enemies will appear on Foxeys list after you lost to them. Speaking to her in the Hall of Heroes after you defeated all enemies in her list will get you the achievement "Monsters in the Mist".
Diane will appear here once you found her in the Lost Ark.
*:>Geoffrey Handle
All music tracks and their respective composers are listed by Geoffrey (regardless if you already heard them during your play through). He will come to the Halls of Heroes once you found him in the Halls of Music
*:>Rubine the Hood
Completionists will love her with all their hearts. She will simply list out all treasure you didn't pick up in cities and dungeons you've been in. She doesn't really tell you where in the location to look, but at least you know what you are looking for (and how much of an item is still there). Rubine will come to the Hall of Heroes after you found her in the Thief's Den.
*:>Vincent Vanoch
Will show you all the art the game has (as this is a lot of data, this has been put in a separate script and it takes the engine awhile to compile it, so that's why you have such a long loading time for this. However it saved me a lot of memory when you are not looking in the art list, so that is why). All art, plus their respective artists, can be seen this way. Vincent will come to the Hall of Heroes if you manage to find him in Digitopia.
Finding all these representatives gives you the achievement "So you want to be a hero". Finding these representatives counts as the main goal of the dungeons they are in, and thus the achievements for those dungeons will be awarded upon finding these representatives and speaking to them.
Well the walkthroughs of these dungeons are displayed below. Good luck ;)

Lost Ark

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv7lv4lv11
Available:After completing the Exam Ruins
How to get there:During the new game+ the south-east corner of Xenor Bushes North is open. Go there and you'll be in the Lost Ark.
Hall of Heroes Representative:Diane Foxey
Quick Overview:This is a quick dungeon and not that hard. It does contain a few sections you can only reach when you got Scyndi in your group, meaning that when you get here during chapter 1 you cannot get there and you will have to come back for those. However, you can finish the dungeon itself without her (as long as you have either Scyndi or Irravonia in the group you can do this).

000:>=OPTIONAL: SCYNDI: You can use your whip to obtain the banana and travel emblem North.
=Follow the way
=OPTIONAL: When the road splits in two there's a secret passage on the east side of the northern route. It's small so you'd easily think nothing can be there. A Travel Emblem is hidden there.
=If you have Scyndi in the group, you can take the north route with your whip. Otherwise you'll need to take the south route and need Irravonia to fly over.
=In both cases the roads will come together and from there go North
=BRENDOR: The treasures east can only be obtained if you have Brendor in the group. If you don't have him, come back for them later.
=When you go north after the savespot you'll meet the boss.

NOTE! When you do this dungeon during chapter 1, you won't be able to go to the Hall of Heroes right away until you've completed Zoraman Prison (as that's the first moment you'll be able to get on the world map).

Halls of Music

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv15lv15lv19lv15lv17
Available:After defeating the Red Dragon
How to get there:Go to Xenor (if you still haven't figured out how to unlock that city, go to the Crossroads and exit it West), and there will be a dog in the North part of town. Let Scyndi (Seelah Gandra) speak to it and the entrance to the Halls of Music will be revealed and appear as a location on the Worldmap
Hall of Heroes Representative:Geoffrey Handle
Quick Overview:Welcome back to the 70s, at least the way the dungeon looks was meant to give that feeling. Be mindful of the enemies, their names and spells are based on music and can be very very threatening.

001:>Exit North

  5. Are you lonesome tonight
  6. Love me tender
  7. Paralyzed
  8. T-R-O-U-B-L-E
  9. True Love

In general this boss is a basic, attack when you can and heal if you must fight, however, you need to take a few things in order. He cans steal your money (if you lose and get automatically revived at the last blue save spot, that money is lost), and he is willing to heal you every now and then. He can charm one of your characters and there is no resistance against it. Be very aware of his 'Are you lonesome tonight' move as it will kill all characters save one. That move can really get to you.

Thief's Den

CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER
lv32lv32lv31lv32lv32lv32lv29lv37
Available:After Aziella joined the party
If you go to Aeria you won't be able to go for it until you finished both Malabia's cave and Frundarmon's mansion
How to get there:Once Aziella joined during the New Game+, a Fairy named Gulliver will be in Gagolton, when you speak to him he'll reveal the location of this place
Hall of Heroes Representative:Rubine the Hood
Quick Overview:This is the thief's den. Watch out for the enemies as they can steal all your stuff and the only way to recover that is by slaying them (they will never steal key items, neither will they steal the ultimate equipment dropped by the sealed bosses and Juggernaut).
Next, it's important you understand the puzzles in this place. In case you missed the tutoral I'll explain it again. When you stand next to a pyramid it will be destroyed, coloring all the panels it's on to its own destroying all other pyramids it finds on its way. When the white one is destroyed it will remove the color it's on. The door will open when all panles are removed.
There are mostly multiple ways to solve the puzzles, but I always aim for the shortest way!
That settles it. Let's go!

001:>=OPTIONAL: Look well and you'll see a traveler's emblem for the taking
=Hit the western doorway
002:>=Destroy the green pyramid by standing next to it.
=Exit North
003:>Exit North
004:>=Destroy either the red or the blue pyramid
=Exit North
005:>=OPTIONAL: Cool a free Onyx

OPTIONAL PART:
005:>There's a secret passage north-east, go there.
006:>Look well! There is not short way to do this, and when you destroy the wrong color the puzzle can no longer be solved (if that happens, just leave and come back to reset the puzzle).
Destroy the pyramids in this order:
=Magenta (or purple if you want to call it that)
=Yellow
=Blue
=Green
=Red
=White
=Now hit the door to claim your prize (Travel Emblem)
=Exit west to resume the main part of this place.
END OPTIONAL PART!

005:>=West
=Follow the way as it will make you go south
=Exit South
008:>=Destroy the cyan pyramid (or sky-blue if you like)
=Hit the door
009:>=Follor the road

010:>=Make your way south and save your game if you like
=Exit South
011:>=Make your way west and BE SURE NOT TO TOUCH THE WHITE PYRAMID!!! (If you still did, leave this room and come back here to reset this puzzle)
=Speak to the guy here and he'll attack you.

  6. Bacteria Sword

First of all you want to get rid of his two assistants. Kill them!
Next you have to note that aside from having a few strong attacks he will steal your entire inventory clean if you let him alive too long and if you lose the fight and automatically revive at the last blue savespot the stolen stuff is lost forever, so best is to beat him in one go. Keep a good eye on your HP. Also if somebody dies because of his Penta Power Strike (which you'll be unlikely to survive even at high levels), revive him/her immediately. Since he's pretty fast, don't take any chances
011:>=Destroy the blue pyramid
=And NOW you can destroy the white pyramid
=Hit the door North
012:>Did you think you found yourself a lot of money? Haha, these are thieves, they don't give you their treasure that easily. All the money here is Fool's Gold. It's completely worthless. You can take it if you like, but it serves no purpose whatsoever.
Since they are thieves, everything is S-E-C-R-E-T!
What, that hint wasn't obvious enough for you? Okay, hit the secret passage west then.
014:>=Claim all your treasure (The money stored here are real and it's a lot. And the gems are real too).

Jules

The True Abyss

The True Abyss is a special game mode for basically endless gameplay. In order to unlock it, you must have completed "The Abyss" in either a normal playthrough or in a New Game+ gamethrough, doesn't matter which you choose, actually, and after that you must complete the specific playthrough. After beating the final boss, the True Abyss will be available in the main menu, you will see when you start up the game.
The True Abyss has no storyline whatsoever. You'll travel through 100 randomly generated levels and when you reach level 100, you can start over at level 1.
The True Abyss is a new game which will take you here.
By default, the next settings for this game apply:
  1. All 8 main characters are in your party from the start, and this will not change during your journey through the True Abyss.
  2. Their levels will be reset to starting levels, the number of the level depends on your chosen difficulty.
  3. All skill levels start at level 1. Eric will have all his dragons by default and Scyndi will have all her gods by default.
  4. Every 5th level, there will be savespot you can use to save your game. These are all BLUE savespots so you'll never have to do more than 5 levels over.
  5. Every 10th level you will meet a boss. Most of them are familiar to you, a few of them are unique to the True Abyss.
  6. Every 15 levels, you'll find some stands where you can buy items. You can also store your money at the bank, and there are several stone masters who'll either boost your resistances or your skill levels.
  7. Eric will gain his special move he normally gets at the beginning of chapter 5 when you go up a level in any of his skills.
  8. The spella abilities you learn from Scharum in the normal game, are now placed in a certain skill level requirement.
  9. The spells/skills you learn from the sealed bosses, MIGHT be learned when you start a new cycle after level 100, however there are no guarantees. The more cycles you do the higher the chance one (or more) of these spells/abilities are learned. The chosen difficulty also plays a role here.
  10. Both normal experience as skill experience go up faster in the True Abyss. How much depends on your chosen difficulty.
  11. When starting a new cycle at level 100, your normal levels will reset to 1, your skill levels remain the way they are, and you may keep your abilities, money and inventory. The bosses will reset though.
  12. Achievements you cannot get in the True Abyss are removed in this play. In stead you'll have a few 'Abyss Only' Achievements
  13. There are some enemies and bosses unique to the True Abyss, those enemies are not taken into the Bestiary book of Diane Foxey in the New Game+. If they were, completionists would never be able to complete that book and get the achievement tied to that, so that's why.
  14. The Traveler's level goes up every time you start a new cycle from level 100. So the more cycles you run, the more encounters you can skip + it's a handy meter to see how many cycles you did so far.
That should cover everything about the True Abyss.
Have fun.

Sealed Bosses

Before we begin

When it comes to the sealed bosses, it's important you understand that these are bosses, meant to give you an extra challenge. Some of them might be significantly harder than the regular bosses so be well-prepared.
As a reward they will shower you with a lot of experience points, not to mention they will also drop the final weapon for a character, and that weapon will also shield the character from two status changes. On top of that the character receiving his or her final weapon will also get a new special move which may be a real addition to your ability lists.
Eric will not gain his final weapon (he already has it, remember), but in stead he'll gain his final armor.
Well, you may already have guessed that the red oval shaped objects you found in several dungeons are the red seals in which the bosses are sealed. In order to open them you must first have completed the 'Red Temple' (see the sidequest section). Now Eric can when you press the personal action button call an instant encounter. When you stand next to a red seal however, the seal will open and you'll have to fight the boss inside.

  4. Triple Power Strike (not in easy mode)
  5. Quatro Power Strike (not in easy mode)
  6. Penta Power Strike (hard mode only)
  7. Darkness
  8. Power of Evil (not in easy mode)

This is the basic "I hite you and you die" kind of battle. This boss is very strong and is also pretty eager to use his multi-power-strike moves, and it's not very likely you'll survive any of those. Still this fight is very winnable as this is not a fast boss, and if Eric has Freeze you can slow it down even more. Bring a lot of items with revival attributes and you're well-set. Don't forget to make Merya steal from it. You might score a Banana, the ultimate healing item.
BOSS FIGHT!

Shadow Rogue

  5. Exhaust (not in easy mode)

This fellow can give you nightmares, for being quick and having some very terrible moves. Good to note is that you can paralyze him (though he has 95% resistance, so you need a lot of luck) and he can also be poisoned (also high resistance, but you can). Be aggresive on your healing and you have a good chance.

  6. Steal Cash
  7. Death Spell

Impossible??? I mean he has extremely much HP and you won't survive the "Armageddon" move which kills your entire party no matter how well you worked them out. SO I guess this guy is just GAME OVER....

Is he?

No, just use any ability which can do instant death. If it hits, you win.

BOSS FIGHT!

Mountain Emperor

  1. Double Power Strike
  2. Crush (not in easy mode)
  3. Horrible Quake
  4. Watching your move (easy mode only)
  5. Exhaust (not in easy mode)

This guy is terrible. This fight is pretty similar to the one against the mountain king, but this guy is a lot more accurate and not to mention faster. When unprepared he'll kill you faster than you can revive them. Irravonia is the only one able to seriously hurt him with her 'breeze' spell. Don't waste your AP on 'Hurricane'. 'Breeze' is strong enough. Don't forget to make Merya steal a Banana and may Lady Luck be with you.

This guy is quite easy. It's undead so weak to fire and most of all light. You just need to watch your HP as it can turn everybody to 1 HP with Demon Soul Breaker, and you need to keep that in mind.

  5. Disintegrate
  6. Death
  7. Horrible Quake (not in easy mode)
  8. Darkness
  9. The Power of Evil (not in easy mode)

This guy can be easy or hard depending a bit on the question if luck is on your side. His physical attacks are not your problem, his death and destruction spells can be an eyesore. It's not a bad idea to make Eric slow him down with Freeze. As an undead fellow he's weak to Scyndi's light spells (that is if you made her get Malabia's Blessing in the temple of Malabia). And don't forget to steal from him.
BOSS FIGHT!

  4. Watching your move (easy mode only)
  5. Exhaust

His attacks are very strong, and nearly always killers. He's pretty slow though and with Freeze he'll become even weaker. Revive anybody who gets attack immediately and you'll have a good chance to win this fight.
BOSS FIGHT!

Slime King
CHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTERCHARACTER

  1. Horrible Quake

  4. Slime Storm
  5. Biohazard
  6. Mjölnir
  7. Demon Soul Breaker

This guy is not hard, but carelessness will be punished. This guy is strong. It will kill the physically weak characters such as Irravonia and Merya easily, don't have the illusion you can survive his Mjölnir attack, unless you've really worked out your thunder resistance. Physically stronger character, like Rebecca, Eric and Brendor can be helpful here as they may live a littlebit longer, however keep your HP at max as much as you can here.

StoneMasters

Stone Masters can be found all over Phantasar. Proper usage of their services can really make the game a lot easier.
They can permanently upgrade either your resistances against certain elements or status changes, or they can upgrade one of your skill levels.
In order to do this they need Magic Stones, they are occasionally dropped by enemies. It hardly makes sense to "grind like hell" to obtain those, as the more you met a certain enemy, the lower the chance they'll drop a stone.
They also ask a fee for their services, no matter what their relation with you is. Keep it in mind as mindless upgrading can cost you quite a lot of money.
The required amount of stones or money does not change depending on your chosen difficulty setting, however, the chance a stone drops from an enemy does. Especially in the Hard Mode, stones drop very rarely.
This overview shows you what you need:

IMPORTANT NOTE:
The game was scripted in Lua, and this walkthrough was written with a Python scripter. It appears that Lua and Python have a different way to calculating (as I just ported the in-game Lua Script into Python) and that makes that a few errors exist in this list. Apologies for that!

Contacting me

For security reasons it's not possible to reach me through e-mail. If you really need to contact me please visit http://dyrt.sourceforget.net and ask your question on the forums there.
Some things you can ask me may be answered below (some remarks are remarks I got on some of my FAQs on GameFAQs.com). If this is your question remark, you can see my reply to that.
*:>Your FAQ is incomplete
=I got these mails before and they are useless unless they mention what need to be added.
*:>You know NOTHING about this game
=If you dare to send that remark to me as far as THIS particular game is involved I'll probably be found dead soon after. Cause of death: laughing so bad that my body could no longer take it.
*:>Fix your English, sucker!
=To quite Nico de Vries: "I know my English spelling is bad, but if I used my own language, you probably couldn't read it at all".
=Most people have proven to be worse in my language than I am in English (some people tried to speak it to prove me otherwise, making a fool of themselves in the process) :P
=Lastly I do my utmost best to speak English the best way I can, and too bad I don't have anyone to correct my work for me. If you think you can correct my FAQ completely, send me a fully corrected one if you care so much about the way I speak English :P
*:>The game froze when I tried to log into GameJolt
=What I need you to understand is that I did NOT write the routines allowing the game to log into GameJolt, so many of the troubles coming forth from that are pretty much beyond my control to fix.
=Next the servers of GameJolt are not that stable (too bad). Errors from GameJolt's side happen a lot. Sometimes you need to get back much later to see if it works then. This is even more beyond my control
=Very important is that you check if your firewall is not blocking out the game from connecting from the internet. If it is blocking the game out the game cannot connect to GameJolt in any way. Seems obvious, though I see people suffering from this one a lot not realizing the firewall was in the way. ;)
*:>I couldn't connect to GameJolt now. Is it a problem to play now anyway?
=That entirely depends on you. There is a heavy security system set on the savegames. If you save a game while not being connected to GameJolt that particular file can never be used any more to register your savegames on GameJolt. If you don't care about those achievements on-line then you don't need to trouble yourself in anyway. If you do care, you must take this into account and then you can better try it when you can connect to GJ.
*:>I found an error in your walkthrough. What is the best way to report it?
=Go to my website and make an account so you can hit the forums.
=Next it's important to name which section of the FAQ it is, and (also important) the area number the error is about (unless there is none).
*:>Are there cheats in this game?
=No. I blocked all possibilities to cheat out and if you found a way to cheat you found a bug and you can bet on it that I'll fix it when I get wind of that. The main reason is the high-load of achievements on GameJolt and the EXP system tied to it. I don't want my game to be a simple way to farm EXP there. You'll have to WORK for that :P
*:>Are there any easter eggs in this game?
=Maybe there are. Maybe there aren't. Who knows?
*:>Are you a man or a woman?
=I am a man ;)
*:>Hey idiot, fix your FAQ!
=Hey idiot. Did you actually believe I'd waste my time to respond to that?
=(In other words, if you seriously want me to read your messages, you can start by sending me a polite form of feedback).
*:>Is there more in the Phantasar universe?
=Yes. There is "The Fairy Tale", a game that may be released later even though this game was created earlier.
=There is also "The Phantasar Chronicles", a novel series based on the same universe as this very game. The currently released books are in Dutch, however I am trying to get them translated to English.
